Clerical Receptionist – Full Time

Operates and answers phone calls on the facility switchboard system. Greets and directs visitors, residents, staff, vendors, volunteers and assure resident safety.

$16.7639 -$28.1503 / hr (B9-E3)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Operates and answers phone calls using the facility switchboard system.
  • Greets and directs visitors, residents, staff, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Responds to general inquiries and provides information as needed.
  • Makes appointments.
  • Collects and distributes mail and messages.
  • Assists with administrative projects as needed.
  • Performs related duties and responsibilities as required.

MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT USED

  • Facility telephone/switchboard system
  • Computer and related office equipment
  • Microsoft Word
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Standard office equipment and supplies
  • Mail and message distribution systems

EDUCATION AND PREVIOUS RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous telephone experience required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Bilingual skills preferred.
  • Pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of basic telephone and switchboard operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal communication and telephone skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and courteously with visitors, residents, staff, vendors, and volunteers.
  • Ability to handle general inquiries and provide accurate information.
  • Ability to manage appointments, mail, and messages effectively.
  • Ability to perform basic administrative tasks and assist with special projects.
  • Ability to operate computers and standard office equipment.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
